Project scale: 105 units
Modular structure
It is made up of 105 standard containers, which are stacked vertically and horizontally to form three layers of space.
The interior of the container is connected to form spacious classrooms (about 60-80㎡ each) with a floor height of 3 meters.
Appearance and function optimization
Exterior facade: Covered with metal insulation board + decorative perforated board to reduce the industrial feel of the container and improve the aesthetics.
Lighting: Add large floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights to avoid the closed feeling of traditional containers.
Insulation and sound insulation: The walls are filled with rock wool and the roof is sprayed with polyurethane foam to adapt to the high temperature climate in California in summer.
Sustainable design
Retain some of the original container structure (such as the wavy sidewalls) to reduce material waste.
Solar panels are installed on the roof to provide some electricity.
